# Oronex

> Oronex is inventory intelligence software for jewelry brands that sell on Amazon, Shopify and wholesale. It shows how much money is tied up in stock, what stockouts cost, and what to produce, how many, and by when to meet a holiday sales goal. Every number shows the formula behind it. ## What Oronex does

- Inventory value: every product valued at cost and at melt value (gold and silver at today's price), grouped by months since last sale, with a suggested action: keep, melt, mark down, or list/liquidate.
- Melt floor: melt per piece = gold grams x karat purity (10K 0.417, 14K 0.585, 18K 0.750) x gold price per gram + silver grams x silver price per gram. If melt value is higher than cost, melting frees cash at a profit.
- Stockout cost: lost units = selling speed on in-stock days x out-of-stock days; lost revenue = lost units x price. Out-of-stock days are never counted as low demand. Holiday stockouts are labeled a lower bound.
- Season plan: for a holiday season, Oronex works back from demand to what to send from the warehouse, what to produce, and the last day to start production. Late items are flagged. Users can override any quantity.

## How it works

1. Upload a standard workbook: inventory, sales history, out-of-stock periods.
2. Oronex validates every row and rejects files with errors, naming sheet, column and row.
3. See stock value, stockout cost and the season plan with formulas.
4. Approve, adjust or override; export to Excel or PDF.

## Principles

- Recommends; the user decides. Overrides are kept next to suggestions.
- Every number can be traced to its formula and inputs.
- Missing data is shown as missing, never as zero.

## Status

- Now (beta): inventory value and melt floor, stockout cost, season production plan.
- Next: direct Amazon and Shopify import, books vs. Amazon reconciliation, moving stock between FBA, warehouse and memo before producing more.
- Later: an assistant that explains why products ran out or stopped selling, monthly forecast accuracy checks, routine decisions automated within user-set limits.
